Everyday flower
This is a photo series on Vietnamese people's everyday clothes, that can often be seen at markets, which I consider much more representative of Vietnamese contemporary culture than the áo dài (the traditional garment of Vietam). Their multicolored hidden beauty appears in the masses all the time, everywhere. One doesn't know who the designer is, which textile factory it comes from, not even who the distributor is, but they are continuously produced by using the same fabrics, patterns, elements. and in the end, the final product is always different. This difference may come from the individual tailor's technique, vision or even work pace. In that sense, they can be compared with today's world luxury brands, however, it's the tailors, the textile factory workers, the way the people compose their outfits who have introduced the unique "fashion" traits. I want to bring out these traits from everyday life, so that others may also see their beauty.
This floral cloth is neglected in daily affairs, and one of the essence of photography is cutting. The form of photography can cut the subject, space and time. I want to try to make the subject more likely to be noticed through photography , let it give a new meaning in the cut space environment.
